The Motorola Moto G100 Review

The Motorola G100 is one of the most affordable smartphones on the market, and its sleek design is sure to draw your eye. Its 6.7-inch IPS display scrolls at a smooth 90 Hz and supports HDR10. Its screen is of mid-range quality, though it does have a lower peak brightness in direct sunlight. Despite its impressive hardware, the G100’s camera does not have a particularly good track record in challenging photography scenes. It isn’t the most impressive camera, but it is certainly better than most of its competitors.

The G100 runs Android 4.4 KitKat. While this may not be the most attractive design in the world, it has decent battery life, a good screen for gamers, and a near-stock Android experience. There are some downsides, though, including a chunky size and two camera sensors. There’s also no second selfie camera, which can make taking pictures difficult. Additionally, charging is a bit slow compared to many of its rivals, but there’s no denying the G100’s power.

The Moto G100 is equipped with a fingerprint scanner located inside the power button. Although it isn’t an in-display fingerprint scanner, it is decent and works well. You can even set up the phone’s face unlock feature, which allows you to unlock your device using your facial recognition. As with other Moto G handsets, the Moto G100 has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card expansion slot.

The Moto G100 was released in the European and Latin American markets in March, but didn’t hit the U.S. until July. While its price has remained relatively steady at around $400, online retailers have reduced it to under $400. While it has a 5.2-inch Full HD+ (90Hz) display and an octa-core Snapdragon 870 processor, the G100 still lacks some of the other features that other phones have.

The Motorola Moto G100’s performance is much better than its predecessor, the Moto G10, and its main rivals. The Moto G100 is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is second-in-command to the flagship Snapdragon 888 found inside the Xiaomi Mi 11.

The new “Ready For” desktop dock includes a USB-C cable, allowing you to use your G100 as a mobile workstation. Using the dock with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse is another great way to use the Moto G100 as a PC replacement. The G100’s screen also doubles as a multi-gesture touchpad. In addition to all this, the Moto G100 is also compatible with the Google Play Store’s popular apps.

The Moto G100 also has a high-quality camera. The main camera has a 64-megapixel resolution, and the ultra-wide camera adds another 16MP. It isn’t much faster than comparable phones, but its bokeh blur is barely noticeable. And even if it isn’t faster, it’s on par with rival phones that use software-based edge detection. It’s definitely one of the best Android phones on the market.
